Do you get headaches at the sight of a treadmill, sweaty palms when thinking about salsa dancing, never heard of a thing called the bicycle?
I used to be one of those people. But that was before I discovered the new exercise phenomenon loved by hippie festival dwellers and geekettes alike; hooping.
Even though hooping might seem like a left-over fad from the '50s, it's actually been around for centuries. The ancient Egyptians hooped, Native Americans hooped and the medieval Brits hooped. And no wonder since there's something strangely calming yet exciting about twirling a hoop around your body. It's exercise, but it definitely doesn't feel like it. Just put on a good tune, grab a hoop and time will just fly by.
