Feeling Confused? Ask the Online Oracle

By Charlotta Hedman

Having a hard time deciding what to do with your life? Whether to send that text message to a boy or not? What to eat for lunch? Well thank god for the internet. If you're looking for guidance, but don't have your magic eight ball handy, here are a couple of sites that might do the trick.

I Ching

If you don't mind reading cryptic ramblings based on old chinese philosophy then this is a really interesting site. Think about a specific problem or question, let the site throw some virtual sticks on the ground and then read the results. The I Ching is one of the oldest books in the world and has been as an oracle for centuries, it works through randomly piecing together the hexagrams (verses) in the book.

Astrologyzone

This is probably the most detailed monthly horoscope on the internet. Astrologist Susan Miller writes a long description about exactly what is going to happen to you during the month, she even gives dates and sometimes advices you to worry about money, other times about love. The advice is very speficic and like with most horoscopes it's easy to take to heart if it's positive, less so if it's negative.

Freechart

Have you ever wanted to know how the position of the planets and all that other stuff out there will affect the rest of your life? Well here's a site that does it for free. All you need to know is your exact time of birth and the site draws up a nifty chart and generates some quite bland information about your personality. But at least you'll never have to wonder about which degree Venus was in when you were born.

Colorquiz

How do you spot a a magic oracle site? They're all fugly! And Colorquiz is probably one of the fuglier of the bunch. There are a lot of colour quizzes around on the internet now days, but this is one of the originals. Click on a bunch of colours and the site will tell you how you feel. Simple. It actually works pretty well a lot of the times, you know during those times when you're not so sure about how you feel and you need a website to help you out.
